Visit the Coffee Museum

The Santos Coffee Museum is a haven for all coffee lovers across the world. Since its opening in 1998, the museum has been a major landmark. It celebrates the history of not just Brazilian coffee but coffee from other nations and regions, too. Among various exhibitions, the “Coffee, a Cultural Asset of Brazil: Science, History, and Art” exhibit is the permanent one. The museum not only features research material on coffee, but also on the cultural, political, and economic evolution of the region.

Witness Christ the Redeemer

The massive, 98-foot-tall statue of Christ, locally known as Cristo Redentor, is a symbol of Christianity across the globe. Built between 1921-1931, this gigantic symbol of peace and forgiveness holds a prominent place in every Brazilian’s heart, and also in the new seven wonders of the world. Do visit this monumental site, where Jesus welcomes you with open arms, spanning 92 feet wide.

Visit La Recoleta Cemetery

Coming straight out of an artful film, La Recoleta Cemetery is a place where Argentinians seek a perfect spot to wait for the afterlife. Cruise Booking Zone offers guided tours that give you an insightful perspective on the history, architecture, and stories of the buried. The stained glass windows, sculptures, and maze-like pathways are a beauty to behold. Don’t forget to keep your camera with you.

Take a Cable Car to Unipraias Park

One of the most premium tourist destinations in Brazil, Unipraias Park offers you the most extraordinary cable car experience. A network of 43 cable cars is the only connection between two beaches, and the view outside is spectacular. There are three cable car stations: Barra Sul, Mata Atlantica, and Laranjeiras. You also get to enjoy three adventure attractions, a massive food court, and walking trails that also offer scenic views.

A Walk through Plaza Independencia

This historically significant and cultural hub of Montevideo is a landmark that brings you history surrounded by the modern world in one place. At its center is a giant statue of José Artigas, Uruguayan national hero. At its base is his mausoleum. The plaza is bordered by important buildings such as the Palacio Salvo, the former South American tallest building, and the Executive Tower, the seat of the presidential offices.

Visit Casapueblo

Casapueblo is located in Punta Ballena off Punta Del Este, Uruguay. It is a legendary and visually appealing complex carved out by the Uruguayan sculptor Carlos Páez Vilaró. Initially, as his summer residence and workshop, now Casapueblo is a landmark museum, art gallery, café, and hotel. Its design reminds one of Mediterranean seashore houses with its sparkling white façades. According to Historical Trivia, it was modeled on the nest of the Hornero bird and took nearly 36 years to finish.
